Singing from the ripe old age of 3, Jessica Mauboy was always a promising vocalist. As a child, her grandmother involved Jessica in the local church choir, but it seems that she was always destined to follow music.
Living in the ‘noisiest house on the block', Jessica was exposed to music through the singing of her mother and guitar-playing dad, but the whole family is passionate about music.
In 2004, when she was just 14, Jessica became the first and youngest winner of The Telstra Road To Tamworth competition - a massive boost to the promising performer's confidence.
Now, after coming second in the popular television series Australian Idol, Jessica has a world wide recording contract with Sony BMG & is looking forward to her single release in early 2007 to be followed soon after by her debut album.
